[…] The United States warmly welcomes the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Macedonia, as well as the successful completion of the demarcation of their shared border. We commend the leadership of both countries for their resolve in taking a significant step toward Euro-Atlantic integration by establishing good neighborly relations and enhancing regional stability.

[…] The United States welcomes today’s agreement between the Slovenian and Croatian governments outlining steps to resolve their countries’ differences over a longstanding bilateral border dispute, and enabling renewed progress on Croatia’s EU accession. In particular, we congratulate Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor and Slovenian Prime Minister Borut Pahor for their strong personal leadership and strategic vision in reaching this agreement.
