[…] Il 28 luglio l'Ambasciatore David H. Thorne ha partecipato al Farnesina Foreign Policy Forum, organizzato dal Ministero degli Esteri. Nella sessione dedicata a Italia, Europa e Stati Uniti, l'Ambasciatore ha sottolineato gli ottimi rapporti bilaterali tra il nostro Paese e l'America.
[…] Sei mesi fa, il 12 gennaio, uno dei più devastanti disastri naturali nella storia dell’emisfero occidentale si abbatteva su Haiti. In quella tragedia hanno perso la vita 230.000 haitiani. Centinaia di migliaia di persone sono rimaste ferite e un numero ancora maggiore ha perso la casa.

[…] The International Court of Justice today issued its advisory opinion and decisively agreed with the longstanding view of the United States that Kosovo’s declaration of independence is in accordance with international law. This is the view we set forth in the briefs we submitted to the Court and in the oral proceedings that it held last December. Kosovo is an independent state and its territory is inviolable.
